The Filter’Tron “Electronic Guitar Head” was introduced in 1957 at the summer NAMM show in Chicago. Filter’Tron pickups feature dual-coils and are designed to Filter out the elecTronic hum normally associated with single-coil pickups, while adding a warmer tone, and a significant increase in output and sustain. Anyone looking for the classic vintage Gretsch sound will take a step in the right direction with this humbucker. It has 12 adjustable pole pieces and a partially open cover. Its connection cable is single-core. It produces a clear sound that particularly emphasizes the mids and highs.
