Since the Fifties and the Sixties, La Bella’s “Deep Talking Bass” Round Wound Stainless Steel strings have been the first choice for many professional bass players. Used in recording studios and in concert performances, these hand-wound sets have a longevity and responsiveness.

This Round Wound Stainless Steel Bass string is manufactured with the original construction used by the La Bella family since the late 1950’s. The vintage construction has smaller cores adding to the strings flexibility. With this small core style construction, the large gauge strings have an extra winding which is not common among modern bass sets today. These two important factors in the construction allow today’s players to recreate that sought after vintage tone and feel.
